ECI Gillstrap Employee of the Year Award

The Employee of the Year Award recognizes and rewards exemplary performance by employees based both on performance of their responsibilities as outlined in their position description and on their specific contributions to the mission, goals, values, and strategic plan of ECI, as well as leadership and attitude.

Michael Kucharski, 2022

Mike Kucharski joined EnviroCert Inc. in 2019 as a Program and Technical Associate. Since joining the company, he has worked closely with the technical team performing updates and revisions on certification manuals and presentations as well as day to day program task. Mr. Kucharski has also earned his QSM, NGICP, CESSWI, CPESC and is the coordinator for several of ECI’s certification committees.

Charles Wilson Jr., 2020

Charles Wilson graduated from West Virginia University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and again in 1981 with a Master’s in Business Administration. Since graduation, he has over 35 years of experience in the erosion and sediment control, stormwater, and environmental industries. He currently serves as the Technical Manager / Head of Admissions at ECI.

Logan Barnette, 2019

Ms. Logan Barnette joined ECI in 2018 as an Administrative Assistant and has been promoted to Human Resource Assistant and Applications Liaison. “Her hard work and dedication made an immediate impact in the organization and she has continued to exceed expectations, and work up to various challenging assignments”, said Associate Executive Director, Melissa McKinney.

Lori Moore, 2018

Lori Moore brings over twenty (20) years of customer relations and administrative experience; fifteen (15) of which were in the construction industry handling bid pre-qualifications, bid proposals, contract review, permitting, billing, and multiple other duties as needed to support project managers.

Melissa McKinney, 2016, 2017

Melissa McKinney joined the ECI team in 2014 and currently serves as the Assistant Executive Director. In this role, she manages the day-to-day affairs of the organization as well as coordinates and communicates with the Executive Director on the management and oversight in the execution of Board policies and procedures.

Jerry Gillstrap, 2014, 2015

Jerry Gillstrap is a valued employee and is role model to the staff and volunteers that have had the privilege to get to know and work with him. He currently serves as ECI’s Reproduction Manager.

Mr. Gillstrap began his career with ECI in 2014, and since that time, has contributed to the organization in many capacities. He was integral in the creation of ECI’s brand and logo and was responsible for the development and innovation of ECI’s reproduction program.
