Self-Declaration Form for Certified Professionals

The following Self-Declaration form will be used by all professionals where classes and conferences do not provide a certificate of completion for all independent-study: Self-Declaration Form

All professionals will be required to upload the Self-Declaration Form on or before Certification renewal in the Certification Management System (CMS).

Approved PDH Providers

Any groups, organizations, or conferences that desire to be added to this list can download the following form: PDH Request Form and submit to the following communications@envirocert.org for review and approval.  ECI will not accept PDHs from groups or organizations not listed below.

Please note, PDH courses must be robust, relevant, valid, current, and applicable to the individual’s certification(s) to count towards the annual PDH requirement.  Up to one-half (1/2) of annual PDHs may be through independent study from approved sources.

Continuing Education for Certification Renewal

ECI Certified Professionals are required to complete contact hours of Professional Development/Continuing Education, in addition to paying the annual renewal fee, to maintain an active certification. Continuing education courses must have been completed during the preceding renewal period (when renewing), or during the preceding two years (when renewing a delinquent or lapsed certification or going from an inactive to active certification). Courses must be taken through a PDH content provider recognized by ECI.

Acceptable PDH Content

The content of all courses of professional development must be relevant to the practice of the associated professional certification. Learning experiences are expected to enhance the knowledge of the certified professional at a level above that required for certification. Courses must be related to the scientific knowledge and/or technical skills required for the practice of the certified professional.

Courses related to the scientific knowledge for the certifications include basic and advanced courses in the physical, and natural sciences, as well as hydrology, engineering and other specialty areas.

PLEASE NOTE: Although EnviroCert International, Inc. approves Organizational content providers and individual PDH content, such approval does not constitute endorsement of course content. If you have concerns about a specific course and whether its content is appropriate to the practice of the certified professional, please contact the ECI office at (279) 888-6911 or communications@envirocert.org.

Please see the list below of approved PDH content providers and other individual PDH opportunities, many of which are free or low cost.
