Lora Schilling

Lora Schilling (CPESC #9548) was appointed to the CPESC Certification Committee in August of 2022.
She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University College of Engineering in 2016. She also holds an MBA in Ethical Leadership from Marist College and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York.

Lora is currently the Environmental Group Manager at HVEA Engineers in Beacon, NY. Over her seven years of experience, her focus has been on environmental permitting, stormwater management, erosion control, State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) inspections and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP). She has detailed experience with projects under NYSDEC and ACOE jurisdiction, as well as experience working in the NYCDEP watershed. Lora has also performed hydraulic and floodplain modelling for several bridge replacement projects throughout New York’s Hudson Valley using HEC RAS and HY-8 modeling programs.

Lora is an active member of the Environmental Management Council of Dutchess County, New York and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering and Service Fraternity. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and daughter, and their two sprightly pups.
