Karlee Copeland

Karlee Copeland grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Auburn University. Her 20 years of regulatory compliance experience has allowed her to focus on building a successful post-construction stormwater operations and maintenance program in Fairfax County, Virginia. In her current role, Ms. Copeland leads a diverse team of engineers, technicians, project managers and ecologists who manage the County’s nearly 8,000 stormwater management facilities with an annual budget of $11M. Ms. Copeland began her career in the freshwater sector ensuring regulatory compliance with federal water protection regulations and performing pollution response activities with the U.S. Coast Guard.
