Chris Koslin

Chris is an environmental health and safety professional with over 16 years of industry experience.  He will finish his third Master’s degree, this one a M.S in Occupational Health in Safety with a specialization in Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University in June of 2021.  He is currently an environmental engineer for Styropek in Pittsburgh, PA.  At Styropek he is in charge of the potable water, industrial wastewater, industrial stormwater, hazardous waste programs and serves as the head of the RC/ISO14001 program.  Previous to this position, Chris was the Regional Environmental Manager of the Carolinas and coastal Georgia for HB NEXT.  He holds his CPESC and CESSWI from EnviroCert Intl. as well as 11 other environmental and safety certifications, including his OSHA 500 and CSP certifications.  He is a certified Level 1 NPDES instructor for the state of Georgia and has assisted in teaching stormwater inspector certification classes in the state of Florida.  He specializes in green infrastructure and sustainable solutions for stormwater and erosion control.  He is also the founder of Alpine EHS, which specializes in environmental health and safety solutions that fit the budget of any company or organization.  In his free time, he enjoys visiting the National Parks with his wife Kate and is the Creative Director for Peace for Conservation, an organization in Tanzania that focuses on elephant conservation and local economic development.
