Final 2022 Construction General Permit Webinar

EPA held a webinar on February 24, 2022, covering the most recent permit, which went into effect on February 17, 2022. The webinar focused on summarizing the changes between this permit and the last. The changes include:

  • permit clarifications,
  • additional information regarding perimeter control installation and maintenance and pollution prevention for chemical containers,
  • new requirements for construction dewatering, inspector training, and site stabilization photographs for Notice of Termination.

Additionally, EPA has developed a Seasonally Dry Period Locator Tool to help permittees determine if they are eligible for reduced inspection frequencies for “seasonally dry period” in arid and semi-arid areas. A link to this tool may be found at:
